About Me

Jaylea Fox here! I’m a native of East Tennessee, a mother to 6 children (2 sons & 4 daughters) and a grandmother to 7, soon to be 8, lovely grandbabies. My older children are married and on their own, but I still have a 12 year old daughter at home. We have been homeschooling now for the past few years and I really enjoy getting to spend time with her and also be able to tailor her education to incorporate subjects that are of interest to her, such as art and marine biology. I also recently obtained a bachelors degree (at age 52) from Brigham Young University – Idaho. My education in Marriage & Family studies has allowed me the opportunity to present Family Life Education workshops to various organizations as well as provide guidance to individual at-risk families and children. As a volunteer with several community groups, I also work to raise awareness about the horrific practice of human trafficking and advocate for victims/survivors.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, camping, reading, cooking and adventure seeking. The purpose of this blog is to document my family adventures, family life education/advocacy work and my fitness/hiking goals!
